Cultural Capital – Art & Design
At East Dene, we provide a range of enriching art experiences to build pupils’ cultural capital. We take students to local parks and settings to practice photography, developing their ability to find beauty and meaning in the world around them. After-school arts and crafts clubs allow pupils to work directly with practicing artists to learn new techniques and approaches. Our balanced art curriculum covers a diverse range of art forms including painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, and more to give pupils a well-rounded artistic education. By providing opportunities to experience art in the classroom, community and beyond, we aim to nurture creatively engaged students with strong cultural capital.
