Cultural Capital – Computing

We work with the CLC who come in and deliver family learning sessions. The CLC also come into school to work with different year groups on projects such as green screen, Comic Life and making videos to present our work.

Spot light days

Each Year a Spotlight day is arranged to promote Online Safety.
In 2022 our Spotlight day was cased around All Fun and games and about how we should behave online. Aswell as taking part in a variety of discussions and activities throughout the day all children were encouraged enter a competition to create a t-shirt with a slogan on that would encourage others to be kind online. The winning design was made into a t-shirt for the winner!

In 2021 the Spotlight Day – Google Me . This Spotlight Day was based all around Fake news. The day started of with a News broadcast showing the children that a tiger had been spotted in school. Children we then encouraged to discuss what Fake news is. They made their own newspaper articles and became news reporters.
